Overview: Per Unit vs Per Bed Pricing Toggle

In many markets, conventional multifamily housing and student housing compete for the same residents. But the pricing for these properties is often advertised differently, with student housing pricing per bed and conventional pricing per unit.

That's why we added the per unit vs per bed pricing toggle.

If you open the "Properties" filter in the global filters bar, HelloData includes an option to display pricing on a per unit or a per bed basis. When you click the toggle for a property, it will instantly multiply the pricing for every unit displayed for that property by the unit's bed count throughout the interface. This helps normalize pricing between student and conventional multifamily, making market analysis a lot easier for our student housing users.

With the leasing season for student housing ramping up, we've been working on functionality to better support student housing, bolstering our coverage across the board and making it easier than ever to analyze various housing types in the platform.
